Alban Huhmann's Portfolio

I am Alban Huhmann, a senior geology major at University of Mary Washington. I am deeply interested in the entirety of geology, but plate tectonics is particularly interesting for me. I have achieved an associate’s degree in science from Brightpoint community college, which involved studying chemistry, biology, and physics among other fields.

I grew up in New Mexico, an area that is highly connected to environmental science; ever since I was little, I would hear about efforts to genetically engineer crops to fare better in the desert, visit the Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park, or go to the White Sands National Park which is the largest gypsum dunefield in the world. I was instilled with an awe of, and respect for, the natural world from a very young age, and I have a keen interest in furthering my knowledge of environmental science to this day.
